Mizar B's distinctive sound, often centering on edgy, evocative melodic motifs and driving rhythms, has earned him acclaim within Silk Music's community and beyond in recent years. We are thrilled to share his brand new "We Found It" EP, a triumphant return to our label that showcases his signature blend of stirring synths and moody, noir-laden grooves.

The title cut jets out of the gate with a propulsive bassline and haunting vocal theme. As the bass works out its repetitions, no element goes stale, as the ebb and flow of the arrangement retains all of the track's emotion and energy. On the heels of a tastefully sparse breakdown section, the arrangement boasts a climax full of whirling melodies and pounding percussions. The air stands still while you hang on to every note, the crescendoes swelling once more.

The sci-fi-tinged "Extraterrestrial" is a six-minute masterpiece that artfully blends a variety of styles into one cohesive journey. The punchy introduction of the song puts a driving bass line under a syncopated synth stab, while "alien" vox effects in the background pay homage to the track name. New melodic variations continue to breathe new life into this foundation, as the energy continues to escalate towards the cinematic breakdown. This euphoric standstill gives two minutes of calm, as the larger synths slowly work their way to the foreground. The drop to follow is an awe-inspiring experience that suggests that, in its final act, the alien vessel has beamed up the listener into the cosmos.

Mizar B's extraordinary EP comes to close with "Comet Tail," an introspective composition that stands out from the artist's more club-centric past offerings. Few words can adequately describe the sonic world that is evoked by this majestic, cinematic composition. Ethereal effects weave in and out of washed-out percussive elements, creating a lush soundscape, centering on exceedingly poignant strings and piano. One can easily get lost in this arrangement... dreaming of comet tails painting their way across the nighttime sky.
